The people that started this tradition were call the celts! They lived in what is known today as Ireland, The United Kingdom, and northern France. On this night they would light bonfires and pay to the dead! Around 1000 Years ago is when they would start dressing in costumes in Scotland and Ireland. The poor people would go to wealthier houses and reveice pastries. These were called Soul Cakes. They would get one in exchange for a promise to pray for the homeowners dead relatives.
